Shopping & Markets
St.Helier is an excellent shopping centre with pedestrianised streets and a mix of well-known High Street stores and small local shops. The attractive Victorian vegetable market and fish market, cafes and restaurants provide a relaxed ambience for browsing and buying. Lower taxes and no VAT mean that you get really good value for money in Jersey. It is also a good idea to come out of season when even more bargains are to be had. There’s no better place to celebrate those special times of the year such as birthdays, Christmas, Easter or St. Valentine’s Day
Outside of town there are plenty more shopping opportunities at specialist outlets where you will find items such as jewellery (eg Jersey Gold, Jersey Pearl and Catherine Best Jewellery), pottery at Jersey Pottery, Bouchet Agateware Pottery and the Little Loft Gallery in Trinity and woollen goods – why not keep warm in an attractive and durable “jersey” from the Jersey Woollen Mills at St. Ouen?
