A week long foodies festival
Experience a week long celebration of Jersey’s famous Jersey Royal new potatoes, seafood and wonderful dairy produce. In its second year, the festival provides a showcase for local producers, chefs and restaurateurs. May is one of the most beautiful months to visit Jersey. It is the peak harvest of the outdoor Royals and the countryside is filled with wild flowers as well as our most famous island resident – the Jersey cow!

A growing, catching and devouring passion
Meet some of Jersey’s very best foodie people as they share their passions and show us how it is done with the finest local ingredients and ‘Genuine Jersey’ produce. Enjoy fine dining in Michelin starred restaurants, low water rambles and other seafood delicacies, hedgerow foraging, food and ale trails, tutored tastings, brewery and dairy tours and al fresco picnics.
This island is good enough to eat
With its unspoiled landscape and unique blend of British and French influences, Jersey really is a place where you can get away from it all. Relax and enjoy the famed hospitality of its people, and lose yourself in the Island’s winding lanes or on its breathtaking coast.
Deliciously easy to get to
From London there are at least 12 flights to the Island a day, with journey times of less than an hour. Regular scheduled flights also depart from over 25 UK regional airports and Condor Ferries operate a car and passenger service from the south coast of England to St Helier. You can choose to travel by fast car-carrying catamaran or the more leisurely, but comprehensively equipped, conventional car ferry.
The event promises to be the first of many with some of the very best foodie people in the Island sharing their passions and showing us how it is done with the very best of local and ‘Genuine Jersey’ produce.
Some of the highlights of the festival include fine dining in Michelin starred restaurants, low water rambles, foraging, food and ale trails, tutored tastings, brewery and dairy tours, chocolate making as well as a sunrise picnic and even a ‘cider and sausage’ evening in an orchard!
Jersey Royal new potatoes – the taste of British springtime
Food lovers rejoice - it’s Jersey Royals time again! Jersey Royal new potatoes symbolise the end of dark winter days with a taste that is spring on a plate. Jersey Royal new potatoes form part of our spring consciousness along with the smell of cut grass, tennis whites and long evenings, and for good reason with their unique taste and flavour.
Jersey Seafood
The Jersey fishery is a diverse and active industry. Local fishermen work all year round to bring many varieties of seafood to our menus and markets, and some 1,200 tonnes of shell fish are caught locally every year.
Shellfish
King and Queen scallops are the significant variety in Channel Islands waters. They are available all year round with the best quality scallops being diver caught. Brown or chancre crabs are readily available all year round. Oysters, ormers, mussels and turbot are farmed locally in containers or on the seabed of the inter-tidal reefs off the east and south-east coasts.
The Jersey Cow and Jersey Dairy
The ‘Jersey’ breed of dairy cow originates from the Island and is quite distinct from all other breeds. Renowned for its beauty, ease of management and natural ability to produce rich creamy milk, the Jersey Cow is a product of the Island, its soil and climate, the people and their history.
