Spring Walking Week

Spring Walking Week is held in May and is a popular festival in Jersey's calendar.

Experience a feast of food and culture as you see, smell and savour Island life. Stroll along the seaside, through woodland, country lanes and cliff top paths, all in the company of the island’s most respected and experienced walking guides.

One of the highlights of the festival is our 'Around Island Walk'

Join your guides for a week of exploration and fun on this unique walking extravaganza. From beach to spectacular headland, past towers, castles and ancient burial chambers – these are just some of the experiences you’ll encounter on this five-day trek that aims to take in every inch of Jersey’s coastline.

Walkers can participate in any of the daily walks – but those who complete the entire five-day ‘challenge’ will receive a certificate of achievement. Your guides for the walks will ensure you are suitably looked after throughout the week as well as providing ample supplies of encouragement.

As these are linear walks, courtesy coach transfers are included to take you to the start point every day, except for Monday 19th May when the start is from Liberation Square, St Helier. Advance reservations for these walks, including the coach service, are required – contact Jersey Tourism.

Due to the popularity of this walk and the limited numbers Jersey Tourism may supply extra guides and transport to accommodate the demand, and programme an additional Around Island walk travelling in the opposite direct to the listed walk.
