Blue Badge Award

The Jersey Tourist Guides Association is made up of Blue Badge Guides, Bronze Award and Associate members. Blue Badge Guides have undertaken written examinations on all aspects of Jersey Knowledge and are trained in all guiding procedures.

What is a Blue Badge Guide?

Registered Blue Badge Tourist Guides are trained and qualified to work in a specific region or area, in this case Jersey, with both walking and coach tours.  They are trained not only to bring history and heritage to life, but to entertain and look after their group, as well as advise on how best to occupy the day.

The badge is a sign that the holder has successfully completed a course of training which includes written and practical examinations. Blue Badge Guides have a range of languages, specialities and interests, and can guide on foot, in cars, on coaches, on trains and on boats.

They have a wealth of experience which is respected by discerning tour operators and travel agents throughout the world.  They take pride in constantly updating their knowledge to enable their visitors to enjoy Jersey's immense, unique and varied heritage.  They are practical, punctual, reliable and thrive on the unexpected, welcoming individuals or groups, here on business or for leisure.
