Jersey Tourism’s PR function helps to fulfil the UK and Ireland marketing remit to build the value of tourism to the island.
The PR effort seeks to shift perceptions of Jersey as a destination amongst identified groups of travellers in core markets: conveying its island culture, its creativity and its vibrancy as a destination.
This is achieved largely by gaining positive exposure of Jersey through arrangements for visiting journalists, newsletters, features events and management of specialist agencies in UK, France and Germany.
A great deal of emphasis on the Jersey Tourism PR effort is working in partnership with fellow stakeholders and PR practitioners.
Jersey Tourism also works closely with their colleagues within VisitBritain PR organisation.
Jersey Tourism employs an external agency to measure and evaluate the public relations output.
