Graeme Le SauxGraeme Le Saux started his career at St Paul's Football Club in Jersey before moving to Chelsea in 1987 after being spotted playing in a local tournament by manager John Hollins. He made his debut for the club two years later against Portsmouth and had become a regular as an attacking left-back or left midfielder by the 1990-91 season.

 He was sold to Blackburn Rovers in March 1993 for £700,000 and played alongside Alan Shearer, Chris Sutton and Tim Flowers. He won the Premier League title in his second season with the club and made his England Debut in 1994.

 

Graeme Le Sau playing for Chelsea FCIn 1997 he returned to Chelsea for £5 million, becoming the most expensive defender in English football in the process.  He remained there for six seasons and during that time completed his full set of domestic trophies by winning the FA Cup, League Cup and Charity Shield whilst also winning the 1998 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup.

He was swapped in a part-exchange deal with Southampton for Wayne Bridge in 2003, and played for another two seasons before announcing his retirement in May 2005, following Southampton's relegation from the Premiership.

Graeme Le SauxGraeme was capped 36 times for England. He played at the 1998 World Cup, appearing in every game as England reached the second round.

Since his retirement for the game Graeme has published an autobiography, worked for the BBC and appeared as a contestant in Dancing on Ice.
