Getting There

Travel to the places in Normandy, France where the D-day Landings and The Battle Of Normandy took place.

Travel independently by ferry to Barneville-Carteret (approx 60 minutes sailing time), hire a car and be at Omaha beach in 1 hour 30 minutes. Or if you include an overnight stay you may wish to take advantage of one of the many companies offering excursions.

If you are planning a day trip, please be well prepared so that you make the most of your time. It is recommended that Ferry schedules, road maps and routes, currency exchange etc should all be prepared in advance.

See our Day Trips pages under Sights & Activities.

Alternatively, for something a little special, contact the Jersey Aero Club who can fly you over the landing beaches and have you back in time for dinner.
