Discover six centuries of Jersey’s rural life at Hamptonne Country Life Museum. Dating back to the 15th century the house and farm are brought to life with characters from the Island’s past.

Explore the orchard and learn about bygone crafts and quirky traditions from the resident Goodwyf.

Come and see the pigs and piglets in the traditional Hamptonne pigsty with outdoor"yard" and mud bath. During the summer period you can meet blacksmith Nick Ostroumoff from Somerset, and learn about traditional ironwork methods.

How to get there:

Near Three Oaks, St Lawrence at the top of Waterworks Valley.

Entrance and parking: The car park is a short walk from Hamptonne.

Buses: From Liberation Station, take Route 27 to the Hamptonne bus stop (code 4367). Hamptonne is signposted and is a five minute walk along country lanes. For the return journey to Liberation Station catch the Route 25 from Three Oaks bus stop. Three oaks is a 10 minute walk from Hamptonne along country lanes.
