aMaizin! Maze and Adventure Park

This award winning attraction launches annually with aMaizin! Adventure Park, followed by aMaizin! Maze constructed entirely of the cereal crop maize. There are puzzles and clues to find and decipher providing great family fun (maze only available during summer months). The popular aMaizin! Adventure Park offers many additional activities in a natural and safe environment where refreshments and snacks are available. All activities and entertainment are included in your entrance fee and there are no further charges. Tractor rides, 3 go-kart tracks for all ages, “New” Toboggan Run, Crazy Golf, and the very popular water warriors. Even a 1700 sq ft adventure fort complex! Our new Barnyard plays host to a number of adorable animals which you can meet during our regular “Animal Experience” activity sessions. Outdoor picnics are available. Battle of Flowers Museum

The museum was opened only in 1971 altough Miss Bechelet's first exhibit was in 1934 when she was only 16. It comprises of 23 part or complete floats built entirely by Miss Bechelet, each float may take up to 1400 hours to construct and is completely covered in wild flowers, such as Harestails and Marrem Grasses. Each of the harestails are dyed by hand before being stuck on indiviually to completely cover every inch of the float. The floats display animals from every continent as well as many characters including Father Christmas. Also on display are several old photographs of exhibits prior to the opening of the museum, and all the shields that have been won over the years. There is a small shop selling various items next to a very large car park.

Bouchet Agateware Pottery & Jersey Jewellery

A secret process known only by one man, the only agateware pottery in the world and one artist’s quest to produce what was hitherto considered impossible. This makes Bouchet Agateware a delight to both the discerning collector of ceramics and the souvenir hunter. STOP PRESS! Tony’s rich red agateware has been the inspiration for the highly unusual and innovative ‘tubular vase’.

Catherine Best Jewellery

Catherine Best is a world renound jewellery designer and the beautiful Windmill provides the perfect setting for her shop and workshop. From here you can see many of her orignal designs and even purchase (if the mood takes you). Most of the products that are for sale in her wonderful shop are unique to Jersey and therefore you are highly unlikely to see someone wearing the the same item. Catherine has won many awards for her Jewellery designing and features on the "Who's Who in Gold and Silver" list. The Windmill also houses a wonderful restaurant perfect for a warm snug winter meal or an "alfresco" summer treat.

Channel Islands Military Museum

This museum is a lifetimes work, the collection has been assembled over many years allowing the visitors the opportunity to see items, many of which are still in the same condition as when they were when last used over 60 years ago. Being displayed in one of Hitler's former Atlantic Wall defences helps visitors to get a true feeling for those dark days of the 1940s. A major collection of historical memorabilia not to be missed.

Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust

No visit to Jersey is complete without a day at Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, where you can see over 1400 mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians in 32 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland. Among the endangered species at Durrell are three generations of Sumatran orangutans; mighty 'Ya Kwanza', the 35 stone Western Lowland gorilla and his family, a Madagascan gentle lemur community; Brazilian black-lion tamarins and silvery marmosets in open woodland. Famous author, naturalist and broadcaster Gerald Durrell founded the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust nearly 50 years ago with the mission to save endangered wild animals from extinction; his park is the Trust’s international headquarters and plays a crucial role in this mission. Here conservationists work closely with the animals to better understand what is required to ensure they survive in their natural habitats. This information is shared with colleagues working on wild animal projects worldwide. Voted the best on the island by visitors, Durrell’s safely-enclosed, animal-themed play area is perfect for youngsters. At the Education Centre, children can enjoy close encounters with reptiles and enjoy books, jigsaws and other play equipment. Don’t forget the gift shop with a treasure trove of presents, plus our fabulous buffet styled Dodo Restaurant.

Elizabeth Castle

Built on an islet in St Aubin’s Bay, Elizabeth Castle defended Jersey for more than 300 years. The castle today houses three permanent exhibitions; War and Peace, which tells the story of the garrison, Granite and Gunpowder tracing the development of the cannon and the story of the Jersey Militia. Time your visit to include the noonday ‘call to arms’ by Gunner Gilman which is followed by the firing of the castle cannon. Take the amphibious ferry, at high or low tide, across from West Park slip to the castle daily throughout the summer season.

Eric Young Orchid Foundation

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful parish of Trinity and sitting within its own wonderful landscaped garden, is a nursery and display complex housing one of the world’s finest collections of orchids. The Foundation was established by the late Eric Young, a man whose enthusiasm for orchids knew no bounds. This dedication to breeding and exhibiting orchids continues today, and has resulted in gold medals at prestigious shows around the world including the Chelsea Flower Show. As you stroll through the display house a series of breathtaking vistas present themselves as each corner is turned. These landscapes create a heady and exotic environment in which the orchids are displayed in naturalistic settings which showcase their extravagant and compelling beauty. Here at the Foundation we are truly passionate about orchids; after your visit we hope you will be too!

Fish 'n' Beads

Beach shack in St. Brelade's Bay. A unique shop selling a beautiful selection of beads where you can create your own jewellery whilst sitting outside beside the beach. Appeals to all ages from 3 - 93. The shop also sells local art made from driftwood, wooden toys, jumpers and fantastic recycled cards. A real treasure trove beside the sea. We have 18 Bowling Lanes all AMF equipped and built in Traditional wood, with the latestest animated and fully automated scoring system. With our computerized reservation system you are able to book in advance, once you have made one reservation your details are in the system for making subsequent bookings easier. We are open 7 days a week, with free entry. Jersey Bowl has plenty of parking and is easy to find along the main road to the Airport (Bus route 9). We are the ideal venue to host anything, a dinner for 2 or a children's birthday, a small office party to a large company hospitality event. We have fully licensed bar also serving food 7 days a week including a large screen television.

Jersey Lavender Farm

Wonderfully scenic and fragrant attraction, only 5 minutes from the airport and near the west of the island beaches, Jersey Lavender offers a relaxing, interesting and educational way of spending a few hours of your holiday. From the end of May to early August the lavender is in bloom, providing a spectacular site and smell. The pure lavender essential oil produced from the distillation is used in the manufacture of the superb Jersey Lavender toiletries - the whole process is explained in a presentation video and a talk by friendly staff. There are natural gardens and woods to wander through, with swings and benches in scenic spots, as well as a National Collection of lavenders, herb beds and a bamboo collection. The Café serves delicious meals and snacks, all made with fresh, local ingredients and the shop is always beautifully stocked with all the products made on the farm, and much more! Jersey Lavender products are also sold online through our website.

Jersey Museum

A visit to the award-winning museum is an excellent start to any stay in Jersey. At Jersey Museum you will find the real history, traditions and culture of the Island explained using modern technology and dramatic displays, making it exciting and understandable for all the family. At the museum you’ll also find a restored Victorian merchant’s house to explore and paintings and sculptures from the Island’s art collection can be seen in the Barreau Le Maistre art gallery. Jersey Museum is the winner of two major national awards. From September 2008 to May 2009 Jersey Museum will host 'Mammoth Hunters', an interactive exhibition showing the lives of Ice Age Jersey-man.

Jersey Pearl

The largest collection of quality Pearl jewellery in the Channel Islands, ranging from the cleverly crafted to the beautifully cultured. In the design workshop, crafts people create individual bespoke commissions as well as offering a professional restringing service. There are guided tours, educational displays as well as the ever popular ‘Pick a Pearl’ tanks, where you can pick your very own oyster and then have the pearl inside set onto a gold or silver pendent. Jersey Pottery

Located in the picturesque Gorey Village you will find this world renowned pottery that has grown from a cottage industry into a global retailer. All stages of the production are on display, plus a large showroom with over 600 Jersey Pottery lines, unusual gifts, a pottery museum and the do-it-yourself painting studio ‘Glaze Craze’. Enjoy lunch or dinner in one of the award-winning restaurants. In addition to our restaurants, you’ll also find Jersey Pottery Cafés in St Helier’s town centre and their town gift shop in Halkett Place by the Central Market.

Jersey War Tunnels

Jersey War Tunnels is a permanent reminder of the German Occupation of Jersey, which lasted almost five years until the island's liberation on 9th May 1945. The tunnel complex, formerly known as Höhlgangsanlage 8 (Ho8), now plays host to a series of galleries detailing Occupation history through the diverse experiences of those who lived through it. Visitors will be led through the events of evacuation, deportation, captivity and siege, to eventual liberation. The tunnel complex of Ho8, which took almost three and a half years to build, was excavated by forced and slave labourers from all over Europe, some of whom died from the terrible hardship they were made to endure. In addition to the main 'Captive Island' exhibition, Jersey War Tunnels is home to the Garden of Reflection, War Trail, Visitor Centre, Research Centre, Shop and Cafe. The latest addition to the tunnels is a sculpture by internationally renowned artist, Paul de Monchaux. Entitled 'Silence' it has been commissioned to commemorate the suffering endured by forced and slave labourers who worked on the construction of the Ho8 complex.

Judith Quérée's Garden

Set into the side of a valley in the rural parish of St Ouen is a garden containing over 2,500 plants. The owner and gardener Judith will take you on a personal guided tour and show you some of the many unusual plants in her award winning garden. Hear about all the efforts to encourage wildlife in the garden and surrounding meadow. Judith and the garden have appeared in many television programmes both in the UK and world wide and photographs of the garden and the 350 year old traditional Jersey granite cottage have been in several magazines. A large elevated wooden board walk allows you to view the large bog garden filled Iris and Primula and many interesting plants. A warm Jersey welcome awaits you for a relaxing and informative stroll around the garden.

La Hougue Bie

A Neolithic burial mound, dating back more than 5,500 years dominates this tranquil site. Following recent excavations, the entrance to the tomb has now been restored to its original glory. A tiny chapel is situated on top of the mound, (Mabon Crypt can be seen in this chapel) and in addition, there are geology and archaeology galleries and a World War Two German bunker. This bunker houses a unique memorial to the memory of the slaveworkers in the Channel Islands during the Second World War. In the grounds of the museum stands the Neolithic House which is the focus for a number of activities designed to give visitors a better understanding of the day-to-day life of the community that built the burial mound.

La Mare Wine Estate

La Mare Wine Estate is the ideal place to experience the real taste of Genuine Jersey. Enjoy a stroll through the vineyards, orchards and beautiful gardens before joining a guided tour of the estate winery where you will taste La Mare’s Jersey wines during an informative audio-visual show. You will also visit the new cognac style distillery and discover the traditional art of distilling and oak ageing of the famous Jersey Apple Brandy. Finally, Then is on to the Chocolate Factory where La Mare’s own Chocolateire makes a delicious range of hand made luxury Chocolates. The Vineyard Restaurant & Terrace is located in a beautiful oak and glass building overlooking the rows of vines and is the most perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious lunch or freshly made Jersey Cream Tea. New for 2008 is La Mare Picque Nique’s where you can pre-order a picnic and find your own idyllic spot amount the vines or orchards to enjoy it. The Estate also produces a wonderful range of Jersey Black Butter, preserves, mustards and delicious fudge, all ‘genuine Jersey’ and hand-made and available in the estate shop. Children will love the Chocolate factory, enjoy meeting the miniature ponies ‘Bubbles’ and ‘Fizz’ and the resident cheeky but loveable goat called Barney.

Living Legend

This is nine acres of fun and entertainment for all ages and a very popular island attraction. ‘The Jersey Experience’ is an award-winning multi-media re-creation of Jersey through the ages, there are two challenging 18 hole adventure golf courses, a go-karting track, craft and shopping village, outdoor play area plus full programme of live entertainment. This large adventure and leisure village has restaurants and a crêperie and is ideal for families.

Maritime Museum and Occupation Tapestry Gallery

Set in the historic harbour area of St.Helier, the Maritime Museum explores the sea and our relationship with it. It reflects on the experience of islanders and Jersey's Maritime heritage, both contemporary and historic. Explore the natural elements including the tides, wind, waves and coastline and discover the basic principles of boat design and propulsion. Living in an island means that people have spent the last 8,000 years building on their relationship with the sea. At the Maritime Museum you’ll see, hear and even smell human story of Jersey's maritime heritage. Before you leave, you will also have a chance to see restoration work being carried out on one of our historic boats in the boat workshop - you may even have some questions for the boat builder. Also located at the Maritime Museum is the Occupation Tapestry, made by the people of Jersey to commemorate the Liberation of Jersey from German Occupation during the Second World War.

Mont Orgueil Castle

Built in the thirteenth century to protect the Island against the French, this dramatic castle towers over the harbour at Gorey. This jewel in Jersey's crown is one of the best preserved castles in Britain and one of the most photographed sites in the Island. It makes the perfect back-drop for medieval drama and re-enactment with spectacular views over the island and across the sea to France. Exhibits throughout the castle show it's history, the medieval world in which the castle was built and the significance of the castle to Jersey over the past 800 years.

Noirmont Command Bunker

Well-preserved German naval command bunker that controlled the artillery battery “Lothringen” from 1944-45. On two floors, this impressive bunker contains numerous displays and exhibits, and guided tours are available on request. Much of the adjacent artillery battery has also been restored, including various gun emplacements and an observation tower.

Pallot Steam, Motor & General Museum

This fascinating Museum is managed by a Trust which was established by its founder, the late Don Pallot, with the object of promoting the permanent preservation of the Island's mechanical heritage. Don spent his early days as a trainee engineer with the old Jersey Railway. Later on, working as an agricultural and contracting engineer, he began collecting what he could of our mechanical heritage. There is no doubt that but for his steady interest, maintained over many years, much that is on view today would have been lost forever. So, whatever the weather, we invite you to take a step back in time and enjoy at your leisure the vast and varied collection of steam locos and engines, vintage, commercial, military and classic vehicles, bicycles and toys, tractors, barn engines, agricultural implements and other machinery, nostalgic photographs including the Jersey railways, Jersey Road Races and transport history, paraffin lamps and domestic items, a variety of organs, including a pipe church and Compton theatre organ and numerous items of memorabilia all housed within the absorbing Museum which has seating if you want a little rest. A real walk down memory lane with something to interest all ages.

Reg's Garden

A lovely place to sit and pass away a few hours in a relaxing area of one and a half acres of landscaped gardens with a large hundred and eighty feet long Koi pond with waterfall, fairy garden, bird aviary/sanctuary and amphitheatre. The garden has won the Jersey Tourism Silver Bowl major award two years following, for the best 'open garden' Strolling around the garden you will see thousands of plants, they have been carefully chosen for their perfume, looks and mainly for their attraction to wildlife.

Samares Manor

Samares Manor is a beautiful house, dating in part to Norman times, surrounded by exceptional gardens originally constructed in the 1920s by Sir James Knott. He had a special enthusiasm for the Orient, and recognised that the environmental conditions of manor grounds offered potential for growing plants from all over the world. The Japanese Garden, rock and water gardens, formal gardens, large ponds with islands and camellia plantations are the result of his passion. In recent years, the survival of this unique horticultural site has required a massive programme of restoration, development and diversification, including the creation of the internationally renowned herb garden - the work of garden designer and author, John Brookes. Talks on herbs and their uses take place each week day and there is a plant trail and activities for children. Current projects include the recently designed exotics garden which contains many exuberant plants, the hot garden of Mediterranean style, and the introduction of field walks through areas set aside for wild flowers. The manor's picturesque Victorian courtyard is the home of the Jersey Rural Life and Carriage museum; it contains a unique collection of vehicles and exhibits and is open to the public each day at no extra charge. Visitors can discover the history of the Manor on an informative guided tour every day except Sunday.

Shell Garden

The Jersey Shell Garden was created by Jersey man Mr Colin Soudain and the first shells were laid in 1957. Every year the garden has been added to and the work is still ongoing, consisting now of millions of shells. It is the largest Shell Garden in the world and a truly unique. The Garden exists on the three levels, with Dolphins, Doves, Sea Horses, mermaids, Giant Clams, contrasting with thousands of flowers. For shell lovers and gardeners alike it's a paradise with a shell shop selling shells and hand made gifts.

South Coast Cruises

Step aboard the "SOUTHERN BAY ROSE" a 50ft catamaran and enjoy a nonstop cruise for around 2½ hours along 15 miles of the beautiful south coast of Jersey. Relax & enjoy sights many have not seen. Castles & Old Forts dating back to the 6th century, Dead Man's Bay, Towers & Gun emplacements left behind by the occupying German forces after the Second World War, Janvrin's Tomb, Neolithic Caves, Granite Cliffs towering some 150 feet. Miles of golden beaches and of course the famous Corbiere Lighthouse.

See an abundance of birds & wildlife; maybe even dolphins at play. Refreshments are available in the Lounge throughout the trip and the crew will be happy to answer any questions that have not been covered by the Captain's commentary.

The Pottery at Belvedere Terrace

Featuring a large ground floor gallery stocking over 300 pieces of unique hand-thrown stoneware pottery, designed and produced by American potter, Theresa Robinson. Theresa has been producing a large and varied range of functional pots, as well as one-off pieces in her Jersey studio 1999 and is also a visiting lecturer at the local Art College. She has exhibited her pots extensively in Jersey, and also the UK and USA. A visit to the studio is a must for anyone who appreciates genuine hand thrown pottery.

Treasures of the Earth

An exhibition of a beautiful and bizarre collection of gems, rocks, fossils and minerals (a collection that is the result of a more than 25 years mining expedition). The skeleton head of a Triceratops, the leg of a woolly Mammoth, cave bears, meteorites. Outside you will be amazed by huge gem crystal fountains and other bronze animals. Don't forget the impressive gift shop and galleria with collector/art-items and more amazing items from all around the world. Attraction open from 20th March. Ideal for children!
