Jersey Air Display

An air display has taken place in Jersey for fifty-nine consecutive years and has a world renowned reputation.

No other event in Jersey generates a larger public audience and attracts visitors in large numbers from all over the world. It raises the majority of its funding through sponsorship, donations and corporate hospitality, the display is a not-for-profit company, with the aim of raising money and the profiles of military charities.

The display takes place in St. Aubin's Bay on the south coast of the Island as the geography of the bay provides a fantastic natural amphitheatre for the display aircraft as well as offering spectators a wide variety of vantage points.

The display timetable normally comes out about a fortnight before the display (you can keep up-to-date via their website) but if you haven't been before, the display is from approximately 12:00 - 17:00, and there is a busy atmosphere with static displays, food stalls, military vehicles etc on the Lower Park adjacent to St Aubin's Bay.

A packed lunch, some drinks and sun screen are all good ideas of things to take with you, as is something to sit on. The beach is closed during the display so most spectators find a spot to sit down either on the sea wall or on the grass of the Lower Park. Binoculars are not essential to view the display, the view from the Bay is excellent.

Over the past few years the Air Display has really made a name for itself within the Airshow Calendar with a wide variety of aircraft on show from many different countries.

Aircraft from Belgium, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Russia, United Kingdom and the United States have all featured in some way, and the RAF Red Arrows are the highlight for many spectators as they close out the show in spectacular style with their precision aerobatic routines!

Organised by Jersey International Air Display A.R.L. on behalf of the Royal Air Force Association (Jersey) Branch as part of Battle of Britain Week. The aim of the Display is to help raise funds for Forces Charities.

The Air Display itself remains free thanks to generous sponsorship from a number of sources.
