Catch the festival fever

Throughout the year Jersey plays host to an amazing variety of festivals and events.

What to take home

You’ll be amazed at how many diverse products come from our tiny island. From fragrant lavender to ceramics, you’ll find a whole array of uniquely Jersey products that make ideal souvenirs or gifts.

The Maison La Mare shop on King Street in St Helier is a treasure trove of local produce including Jersey cider, hand-made chocolate, local wine, apple brandy and delicious preserves and jams. Jersey Black Butter is an ideal souvenir; it’s a spiced blend of apples, Jersey cider and spices and tastes great spread on toast or as locally produced black butter chocolate.

Jersey Pottery produce stunning contemporary ceramics that are stocked by the likes of Harrods and Fortnum & Mason, but are also available at the Jersey Pottery town shop, which also stocks a select range of sophisticated gifts, as well as at the main Jersey Pottery attraction at Gorey.

Further afield, take a trip to Jersey Lavender for a whole range of delicately scented lavender products – everything from cologne to candles - and the chance to admire their fields of purple lavender. There’s even a café where you can stop for tea and lavender scones with Jersey cream.

If you’re looking for something completely unique, why not take home some contemporary Jersey art, stunning local photography or hand-made jewellery or decorative crafts? Spend some time browsing the incredible selection on display at The Harbour Gallery in St Aubin, and you’ll be sure to come up with a truly original souvenir of the island.
