Celebratory cards

The delivery of congratulatory messages marking 100th  and 105th birthdays and 60th, 65th and 75th wedding anniversaries of Jersey residents is arranged by the Anniversaries Office at Buckingham Palace through the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor.

For many people, receiving a congratulatory card from Her Majesty The Queen to mark a significant birthday or wedding anniversary is a very special part of their celebrations. Since 1917, the Sovereign has sent congratulatory messages to people celebrating notable birthdays and anniversaries.

The Queen's congratulatory messages consist of a card containing a personalised message. The card comes in a special envelope, which is delivered by special delivery on the day of the event (or the last day of a week if the event falls on a weekend).

The Lieutenant-Governor and his wife sometimes visit the people celebrating their birthday or wedding anniversary. Arrangements for a visit can only be made by contacting the Administration Secretary at the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor.
