4. Elizabeth Castle

Walk out to Elizabeth Castle at low tide, or hop onboard the castle ferry when the walkway becomes submerged by the sea. 7. Jersey War Tunnels

Jersey War Tunnels are a poignant reminder of the wartime occupation, revealing Jersey’s occupation history from resistance, to starvation and liberation. Dug deep into the hillside by forced workers, the tunnels bear witness to the cruelties of the Nazi regime.  As time passes, the tunnels illuminate Jersey’s occupation story, to rediscover the hardship faced by islanders.

8. Channel Islands Military Museum

Explore the Museum housed in a German bunker, which once formed part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall defenses. 9. Grève de Lecq Barracks

Designed for the garrison troops stationed on the island at the height of the fear of Napoleonic invasion. Built almost 200 years ago, these are the only surviving barracks in Jersey.
