Jersey may be small, but don’t underestimate its hidden depths. From winding 15mph ‘Green Lanes’ to scenic coastal touring routes, steep clifftop panoramas and cycle routes that hug the coast. If you’re keen to explore, you’ll find the journey just as much a part of the experience as the destination. From rental cars and cycle hire to the local bus network, there’s a transport option for everyone.

If you’re planning to drive in Jersey, you’ll need to hold a Certificate of Insurance or an International Green Card, a valid Driving Licence or International Driving Permit (UK International Driving Permits are not valid). Photocopies are not acceptable. If you’re bringing your car, you’ll need to display a nationality plate on the back of your vehicle.

Cycling.

Jersey is laced with quiet cycle-friendly routes that take you through farm, field and coast and lead you to some of the best views in Jersey. Bring your own bike or hire one here and freewheel your way around this unique, unspoilt landscape. Our recommendation? Download a copy of our cycle map and plan a route, with a refuel stop along the way. Pack your panniers with a picnic from Relish Delicatessen in St. Helier or the Central Market.
