Whether you’re training for your next race, starting out as a runner, or simply seeking a social way to explore the island, Jersey’s run clubs offer a welcoming way to experience it on foot. Or join in the fun at the Jersey Parkrun.
From coastal paths with sea views to relaxed social runs followed by coffee, Jersey’s growing running community is open, friendly and increasingly popular with both locals and visitors. It’s one more reason why the island is such a great destination for an active break.
Why Jersey is perfect for running
For a tiny island of just nine by five miles, Jersey packs in an impressive variety of running routes. In a single long weekend, you could find yourself running along dramatic clifftop paths – the Jersey Tidal Trail encircles the island’s entire 48-mile coastline – quiet country lanes, sandy bays and harbour-front promenades.
Runners love Jersey for its:
- Scenic coastal and clifftop routes
- Mild climate that suits year-round running
- Compact size – perfect for short breaks
- Relaxed pace of life and strong sense of community
- Jersey is an island where running feels less like a workout and more like an experience
A welcoming run club scene
Jersey’s run clubs are known for being friendly, inclusive and social. Many groups welcome runners of all abilities, from complete beginners to seasoned marathoners, and most focus as much on enjoyment and connection as they do on pace.
You’ll find:
- Social run clubs with a relaxed, no-pressure vibe
- Mixed-ability groups with regroup points
- Beginner-friendly sessions
- Regular weekly runs you can drop into
- Visitors are often surprised by how easy it is to turn up, join in and feel part of the group
Social running with a view
One of the biggest draws of running in Jersey is the scenery. Thanks to the island’s incredible variety, many club runs take in:
- Coastal paths overlooking the sea
- Beachfront promenades
- Country roads and green lanes
- Historic harbours and bays
It’s not unusual for a run to finish with a swim, a coffee, or a relaxed catch-up – proof that running in Jersey is as much about lifestyle as it is fitness.
Jersey’s run clubs: something for everyone
Jersey has a well-established and friendly run club scene, with groups catering for different styles, goals and experience levels. Some of the island’s best-known run clubs include:
Rock N Road Runners
Founded on the simple belief that if you can run, you’re a runner, Rock N Road’s goal is to bring people together and make the joy of running accessible to all.
Weekly meet-ups mix scenic road routes with off-road adventures, No stopwatch pressure, no judgment – just shared miles, good conversation, and the occasional post-run brew.
Wolf Pack Social Run Club
Wolf Pack started life as a small group who loved running and just wanted to get fit, indented to supplement their strength training at one of the local gyms.
Since then, friends of members started to join and the community grew bigger until one day they decided to open up the group more widely.
With regular weekly coffee runs and interval sessions, the Wolf Pack is all about bringing people together to experience the mental and physical benefits of running.

Every Mile Running
Not just a run club but a social hang-out. That’s the ethos Every Mile lives by – and their busy weekly schedule proves it. Midweek trail runs often finish at the pub, while Friday coffee runs wrap up with a flat white and pastry from one of the Waterfront’s lively cafés. In summer, they add beach conditioning sessions alongside one-off events like surf days, Pilates and yoga. With such a varied programme and a loyal following, it’s easy to see why you’ll likely leave an Every Mile session with a few new Jersey friends in your contacts.
AM Run Club
AM Run Club is a social focused run club aimed at women looking for a safe space to enjoy running no matter their ability. Meeting on Saturday mornings, this friendly group is all about connection over competition – welcoming women of all abilities to join in, move together and enjoy the feel-good energy that comes from sharing the road (or promenade) with others. Expect an easy, social pace, plenty of encouragement and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it just as appealing for first-timers as seasoned runners.
More than just a run, AM Run Club has built a supportive community that celebrates showing up, staying consistent and starting the day on a positive note. There’s no pressure to race or chase PBs – just an open invitation to lace up, meet new people and explore Jersey on foot. Whether you’re local to the island or visiting for the weekend, it’s a welcoming way to get moving and experience Jersey’s growing running scene.
Jersey Run Club
The Jersey Run Club proudly describe themselves as the ‘loveliest run club in Jersey’ – championing a fun, friendly and inclusive ethos. Their coach-led sessions are thoughtfully designed to support runners of all abilities, ensuring everyone feels challenged and encouraged at their own pace. A healthy mix of social runs adds to the sense of community, with plenty of time to catch up with fellow runners over a coffee or a drink.
Expect plenty of chatter, smiles and an unmistakably welcoming vibe with the Jersey Run Club crew – so don’t be shy, come and join in.
Jersey Hash House Harriers
Founded in 1986, one of Jersey’s oldest running groups marked its 2000th run in 2025 with a weekend that perfectly sums up what they’re all about. Celebrations included a classic Hash Run (or walk) from St. Ouen’s Bay, complete with scenic trails, muddy challenges and a well-earned rum tot. The festivities continued with a pirate-themed dinner and fancy dress, followed by a Sunday morning dune run, breakfast, and an alternative guided coastal walk led by the Hash’s own blue-badge guide.
A light-hearted, social take on group running, the Hash blends exploration, humour and exercise – making it a popular choice for visitors keen to run, laugh and socialise in Jersey.
Jersey Parkrun
Running and community spirit go hand in hand at Jersey Parkrun, where hundreds gather every Saturday to take on a scenic loop near Les Quennevais Sports Centre and The Railway Walk – tracing the route of the island’s former railway line.
Just a few minutes by bus from Jersey Airport, you could catch the first flight in, lace up your trainers, hop on the number 15 bus and be on the start line in no time. If that’s not a cool way to tick off the ‘J’ of the Parkrun Alphabet, we don’t know what is!
With the run done, the whole weekend stretches out ahead. Refuel with brunch overlooking St. Ouen’s Bay, or head into St. Helier for a little retail therapy before discovering everything else the island has to offer.
