Day 1
Stay in a Jersey gem
Ease yourself into your Jersey adventure as you venture to the east of the island and your new home for the next few nights – The Moorings Hotel & Restaurant.
Damien loved this harbourside spot so much that he’s been back numerous times whilst on island – getting to know Iselin and Matthew the owners, along with their friendly team.
Popular with both locals and visitors alike, you’ll be settled in before you know it.
The Moorings
Touchdown in Jersey and head straight to The Moorings—the very hotel where Damien Molony stayed during his time in Jersey. It’s got that perfect blend of laid-back luxury and island charm. With a ‘home-from-home’ feel and a restaurant dishing up top-notch local food, it’s the ideal spot to kick back after a day of exploring.
Not staying at The Moorings? No worries! You can still get in on the action by heading there for a bite to eat. Cosy up by the fire in the winter with a cocktail in hand or, come summer, soak up the rays and incredible views of Gorey Harbour on the buzzy terrace. Like Damien, make sure to try the moreish Jersey oysters (trust us, he couldn’t get enough of them).

Day 2
Follow in Damien's footsteps
Enjoy the perfect blend of relaxation and exploration, with a day packed full of serene moments and local delights. From yoga to walking Jersey’s famous oyster beds, like Damien, immerse yourself in the island’s culture – a place where nature, flavour and tranquillity come together to create a memorable island day.
Take a mini adventure
Start your day off like Damien with a yoga session at The Moorings very own studio. Stretch it out with one of their knowledgeable instructors or, if you’re visiting during the warmer months, why not head to a class in one of the many spectacular outdoor island locations? From golden sandy beaches to historic castles, there are some incredible spots to find your inner zen.
Find your perfect wellness spot
Once you’re feeling ready to take on the day, fuel up at Seahorse Coffee Co—a quirky little gem nestled at the foot of the hill in Gorey Harbour. Whether you’re after a cup of top-tier local coffee or a delicious pastry (or both), this place has got you covered.
Taste a Jersey oyster
Next up, take a stroll with Jersey Walk Adventures. As you’ll have gathered by now, Damien is a big fan of our fresh Jersey Oysters so it’s no wonder that he was keen to have the chance to discover more about the place they’re grown and harvested. Follow in his footsteps and get the opportunity to explore Jersey’s world-famous oyster beds, along the way learning about the other creatures and sea-plants that live along our shoreline. Afterwards, you can even dive into an Oyster Tasting at The Seymour Pub & Restaurant—just like Damien did. Or, if you’ve had your fill of oysters, just stop in for a cosy drink by the fire or on the terrace if the sun is shining.
Dine in the village
After all that adventuring and fresh sea air, it’s time to unwind before heading out for dinner. Damien visited Veranda in quaint Gorey village – a fresh new coffeeshop by day and a relaxed neighbourhood bistro / bar by night serving homemade pasta, sourdough, baked goods, and cocktails. While away the evening by candlelight and then head back to your hotel feeling the happy satisfaction of a full belly and a day well spent.
Day 3
See an iconic Bergerac backdrop.
On your last day in Jersey, take the time to explore one of the island’s most iconic backdrops, which played a starring role in the 1980s version of Bergerac. Whether you’re visiting as a couple or with the whole family, this stunning location offers something for everyone. With its picturesque views and rich history, it’s the perfect spot to capture lasting memories.
Mont Orgueil, eat your heart out.
Before you head back to reality, channel your inner history buff like Damien and explore one of Jersey’s most iconic landmarks—Mont Orgueil Castle (also known as Gorey Castle to the locals). Casting a shadow over the fishing port of Gorey for more than 800 years, it’s a prime example of a medieval fortress in all its glory. Not to mention, it’s a major symbol of Jersey’s independence, Norman heritage, and of course, some seriously cool castle vibes.
