Discover an abundance of spaces to truly get away from it all – from bars and restaurants to beach cafes, natural swimming spots to sanctuary-style spas where you can truly unwind. Here’s our insiders’ itinerary to ensure you get the best out of the island, even if you’re just here for 48 hours.
Explore and Experience.
On your first day treat yourself to some indulgent Jersey experiences. Enjoy breakfast with a sea view, discover all that Jersey’s high street has to offer with some local shopping, and finish with a luxurious gourmet meal to remember at one of the island’s leading restaurants.
1. Breakfast with a side of sea.
Start your weekend escape the Jersey way, with a sea-view breakfast at one of the island’s seaside hot spots. Find yourself a sun-bleached table overlooking one of Jersey’s stunning beaches or bays and soak up the panoramic views with a mug of tea or coffee – breakfast always tastes better enjoyed outside in the fresh sea air. You’ll find a beach café in most of the island’s bays, but if you’d like some inspiration, here are a few local favourites to tantalise your tastebuds: El Tico, Le Braye, Nude Beach, The Hungry Man.
2. Revel in an afternoon of self-indulgence.
Shopping in Jersey doesn’t have to mean only the standard high street favourites or department stores. We’ve got those too of course, but venture further into St. Helier to discover independent boutiques and local shops where you can pick up unique souvenirs. For more quirky finds, head around the bay to St. Aubin where you’ll find plenty of treasure hunting opportunities from antique shops to art galleries. After strolling through Jersey’s cobbled streets and sociable squares, make your way to one of the island’s tranquil hotel spas to immerse yourself in an afternoon retreat. If you’re in town, the Club Spa at Bohemia or Spa Sirène at the Royal Yacht offer a range of relaxing treatments, or stop off in St. Brelade to try some rejuvenation by the sea at L’Horizon’s spa and pool.
3. Tuck into an evening of local delicateses.
Take advantage of Jersey’s food heritage and treat yourself to our world-famous local produce. From field to fork in the time it takes for the tide to rise, our food is as fresh as the sea air. Indulge in the gastronomic magic of award-winning restaurants and get a taste of our island’s foodie gems, from oysters to lobster, Jersey Royals to our prestigious dairy products. Fancy a tipple before you dine? Discover Jersey’s bustling nightlife that offers up a plethora of watering holes from glamourous cocktails at The Porter’s Store to cosy pub pints at St. Mary’s Country Inn – you’ll be spoilt for choice.

You’ll find freshly caught fish and seafood, locally grown produce, freshly baked bread and cakes and delightful deli ingredients at The Fresh Fish Company’s harbour-side farm shop – perfect for an alfresco lunch picnic. For an outing with a view, Jersey’s stunning coastline and intimate, rural landscape is awash with picnic spots where you are free to be together. Or why not visit one of Jersey’s two castles – climb to the top of medieval Mont Orgueil at Gorey or take the castle ferry out to 17th century Elizabeth Castle in St. Aubin’s bay.
