ARCHIRONDEL TOWER Give yourself unique memories of Jersey and be amongst the first to stay in this restored artillery tower, built in 1792. It’s a perfect way to totally disconnect and get back to nature - the sleeping facilities at Archirondel Tower may be rustic, but you’ll be rewarded with a morning sunrise over Jersey’s beautiful east coast from the top of the tower, a dip in the clear water of Archirondel Bay, and then bacon rolls from the beach café. Sleeps 10 with basic facilities, (bring sleeping bags). There is no running water, but public toilets and showers are 100 yards away. TAKE ME THERE CHEFFINS AT THE BEAUMONT INN Need a weekend escape with a difference? It might be the oldest pub in Jersey, dating back to 1717, but there’s nothing outdated about the recently-renovated Cheffins at the Beaumont Inn. Original wooden beams, open fires and gloriously decadent cocktails set the scene, and from early 2018, you’ll be able to stay over at a brand new boutique guesthouse. With plenty of character, local food and hand-dived scallops on the bar snacks menu, treat yourself to a stay in 2018. TAKE ME THERE PREMIER INN The most memorable breaks are often the spontaneous ones. And from this year it’ll be even easier to make your escape to Jersey when the island’s first Premier Inn opens in May 2018. On Jersey’s main shopping street, the new 91-bed hotel will put you right in the heart of the action, with all of St. Helier’s shops, restaurants, bars and visitor attractions within walking distance.
