About

Built in 1865, Jersey’s Opera House is one of the island’s iconic landmarks - the theatre as it stands today was re-opened by Lillie Langtry in 1900, after it had been destroyed by fire on the 28 March 1898, and is worth a visit simply to see the Opera House’s impressive chandelier of 10,200 pieces - carefully cleaned every five years!   A host of cultural events take place throughout the year from music and dance to comedy and talks.
