Whether you bring your own bike or hire one locally (we’d strongly reccommend an e-bike for less serious cyclists if you want to take on Jersey’s formidable hills with ease) you’ll find plenty of scenic trails and country lanes leading to stunning viewpoints. Take it slow, soak up the island’s charm and don’t forget to plan a pit stop.

By car
Driving in Jersey
In Jersey, we take life in the slow lane – literally! Our island-wide speed limit is 40mph (64 km/h), but you’ll find plenty of areas where it drops to 30mph or even 20mph, so keep an eye on the signs as you explore.
With over 350 miles of scenic roads twisting through fields, farms and along breathtaking coastal routes, the journey is just as stunning as the destination. Whether you’re driving your own car, hiring one, or hopping in a taxi, getting around is a breeze.
Planning to drive? Make sure you’ve got the right paperwork – a Certificate of Insurance or an International Green Card, plus a valid Driving License or International Driving Permit (UK-issued permits aren’t valid here). And if you’re bringing your own car, don’t forget to display a nationality plate on the back – it’s all part of the adventure!

Jersey Zoo began as the first ever conservation-themed zoo. Over 60 years later, Gerald Durrell’s animal haven is the natural place to discover some of the world’s most incredible creatures. Whether you're after fun, tranquility, knowledge or a place to soak up the sunshine, this beautiful 32-acre park has it all.

Jersey Lavender Farm
Jersey Lavender is a working farm that grows lavender. During the harvest season which is end of June to mid-August) the lavender crop is processed, the oil extracted and used to make a range of fragrant Jersey Lavender products.

Le Moulin de Quétivel Watermill and Tearoom
Located in one of Jersey's most picturesque valleys, Le Moulin de Quétivel is the only surviving working watermill in the island. Surrounded by water meadows, a visit to the mill will give you a fascinating insight into Jersey's agricultural and industrial heritage.

Maritime Museum & Occupation Tapestry Gallery
Located by the historic harbour of St. Helier, the Maritime Museum is all about seafaring, navigation and the elements. Also on-site, you'll find the Occupation Tapestry Gallery, an award-winning Occupation Tapestry that was woven by islanders to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the liberation.
