REFRESH

UNDER OUR EXPERIENCE SHOWER.

Take the steps down to Plemont beach at low tide and you’ll discover the caves and this beach’s secret waterfall. It’s a local favourite for its rock pools and sheltered golden sand, only uncovered at low tide - and definitely visit the beach café at the top of the steps where you can reward yourself with homemade cake and a cup of tea.

RECONNECT

ON OUR RELAXATION BEDS.

Time seems to slow down as you walk through the wild beauty of Samares Manor’s Botanic Gardens. Find your inner peace in the healthy spaces that bloom in the gardens and roll out a blanket to get busy doing nothing. Lose yourself in rolling green landscapes, stopping to smell the fresh wild flowers. Find your zen in manga-inspired Japanese gardens in Samarès Manor before sitting down to an organic brunch with fresh wild herbs at Barrow at the Manor.

ESCAPE

UNDER OUR LIGHT THERAPY.

There's no better tonic for the soul than star gazing at one of the oldest ruins on the island. Walkers love to reconnect with nature at the Grosnez ruin, sat on the rugged north coast of the island with panoramic views to our neighbouring islands. But few know this location is a magical stargazing spot. Bring a rug, wrap up warm and watch the night sky come to life, natural and unpolluted from artificial light.

LOSE YOURSELF

IN FORGOTTEN FORESTS.

Elevate your woodland walk with a spot of ‘forest bathing’ – or shinrin-yoku, as it’s known in Japan: the art of meditation and mindfulness in the wild. It’s all about engaging your senses to experience nature at its fullest: the joy of distant birdsong, of scented blossoms, of springy moss and crunchy leaves. Local guide Amanda Bond runs forest bathing experiences on the headland of Grantez and St Ouen’s Bay; after a serene stroll, you’ll pause for a foraged herbal tea ceremony in the woods – and leave with a new spring in your step.
