Jersey’s Hamptonne Country Life museum is open to the public from May to September, but you can stay all year round and have the place all to yourself. Roam through 45 acres of meadows and orchards, head off on country lane walks and then whip up a romantic farm shop feast in the fully equipped kitchen. With rustic features like original plasterwork, 18th century ‘graffiti’ and chickens for company.
