Val de la Mare Arboretum is a must for nature lovers. With trees from places as diverse as the Americas, Australia and the Far East, its ten collections include numerous rare and endangered species.
Like much of Jersey, Val de la Mare is rich in birdlife, with regular visitors including egrets, herons, moorhens and owls. You can often see birds of prey such as buzzards and harriers circling above too. In addition to the birdlife, there's no shortage of other fauna such as bees, frogs, hedgehogs, lizards and of course Jersey's trademark red squirrels.
The arboretum offers a choice of four short walks, starting from the carpark.
