Jersey-based artist Yulia Makeyeva presents a short lecture on historical and contemporary approaches to commemoration, including recent works from her current practice, followed by a discussion. In her talk she will address such questions as, how do we remember wars and conflicts? and how can art make heard the silenced and forgotten experiences of trauma and persecution?
This event, together with Structures & Memory (a place called Wurzach) and its accompanying programme of events forms part of Jersey’s official Liberation 80 anniversary programme.
