Butterfield Jersey Regatta
Entries are officially open for the 28th Butterfield Jersey Regatta and the 13th GBR IRC Channel Islands Championship, taking place from Thursday 3rd to Sunday 6th September 2026. This year heralds an exciting new chapter for the Channel Islands' premier competitive sailing event, as Butterfield Bank makes its debut as title sponsor.

This open, three-day sailing "jamboree" welcomes cruiser/racers, dayboats, sportsboats, dinghies, and sport catamarans, with visiting crews guaranteed a exceptionally warm welcome. Racing will unfold across the stunning natural arena of St Aubin’s Bay and its adjacent coastal waters.
The festivities kick off on Thursday evening with an opening reception, followed by a lively social calendar that runs through to Sunday night’s bumper prize-giving. True to its community spirit, the Regatta brings together local and visiting sailors of all generations—from keen ten-year-olds to seasoned veterans in their 80s.

This is an on-the-water event supported by social activity in both St Helier Yacht Club and the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club. Both clubs have normal access for on the ground floor and lift access to the first floor.
