An evening of exceptional music from Jersey Symphony comprising works by Tchaikovsky, Milhaud and Ravel including Mussorgsky and Ravel's Pictures At An Exhibition. The Orchestra will be under the baton of guest conductor and Jersey born, James Southall.

Jersey Symphony will present the following pieces for your enjoyment: Tchaikovsky's Hamlet Overture, Ravel's Pavane Pour Une Enfant Defunte, Milhaud's Scaramouche and Mussorgsky and Ravel's Pictures At An Exhibition. South African born, and now local resident, Matthew Lombard will take the saxophone solo in Scaramouche. Guest conductor, James Southall, was born in Jersey and recieved his foundation musical training in Jersey before studing at Queen's College Cambridge as an organ scholar and at the Royal College of Music in London. He is currently the Music Director of the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music. The Orchestra will be led, as usual, by Martin Smith.
