Structures & Memory (a place called Wurzach)
This exhibition and its surrounding programme of events begins with the memories and experiences of the Jersey deportees to a prison camp in a small town called Wurzach (now Bad Wurzach) in southern Germany during World War II.

More Information
This exhibition zooms out to reflect on wider contemporary correspondences that explore displacement and enduring legacies of conflict, occupation and reconciliation felt and witnessed across our society.
It features the work of four Jersey artists - composer Emily de Gruchy, documentary photographer Shannon O’Donnell, sculptural and performance artists Oliver Le Gresley and Nicole Sheppard - alongside archival materials collected by the families of deportees to Bad Wurzach during the war and reflections from both local and international artists.
Presented in association with the St Helier Bad Wurzach Partnerschaft as part of Liberation 80. The exhibition will also include a major new artwork created by Jersey schoolchildren.
