Discover Jersey’s wild north coast on this scenic section of the Jersey Tidal Trail. From Grosnez Castle, follow the cliff paths past stunning Plémont Bay and through woodland to Greve de Lecq. Continue on to Devil’s Hole, a dramatic coastal crater, before finishing at Sorel Point with panoramic views of Sark, Guernsey and France.
Bus route 8 runs from Liberation Station in St. Helier to Grosnez.
There is no direct bus from Sorel Point to St. Helier. Instead walk to St. John’s Church via La Route du Nord (about 30 minutes) where you can catch the number 7 bus back to town.

Bites between the sights
This is one of the tougher stretches on the Jersey Tidal Trail, so why not treat yourself to a pit stop at one of the charming cafés or cosy pubs waiting to welcome you. Your legs (and taste buds) will thank you!
Plémont Beach Café
A family run business, very popular with both locals and visitors. The café prides itself on using Genuine Jersey produce whenever possible. It boasts incredible views and fabulous food. Located right at the forefront of the beautiful Plémont Bay.
The Prince of Wales Guest House
A family-run guest house overlooking the beach at Greve de Lecq on Jersey's north coast, includes a fabulous restaurant and bar serving seafood from the bay. Known for its beautiful surroundings, informal simplicity and down to earth prices, the team have worked tirelessly to build up the reputation they have today.
The Priory Inn
Situated on the north coast, The Priory Inn is one of Jersey’s oldest inns and is just five minutes’ walk from the historic ‘Devil’s Hole’. This country pub with its open log fire and original granite features oozes rural charm and rustic character.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of St. Helier and visit the most picturesque bay in Jersey, where you’ll find Le Moulin de Lecq. Once one of the island's ancient water mills, the Moulin now offers the warmest welcome to both locals and visitors. Serving tasty traditional homemade fayre and a vast array of real ales, wines and spirits.

Wander past wonders
Jersey’s north coast is peppered with dramatic bays and striking spots – from craters to hidden caves. As you soak in the coastal views, see if you can spot the silhouettes of the other Channel Islands on the horizon.

Grève de Lecq Barracks is home to ArtHouse Jersey’s Headquarters. The charity exists to serve our Island community and international audiences by supporting artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work.
Sorel Point
Situated next to a working quarry, this headland has a complex multistage history of moving magma. Beyond the lighthouse built in 1938, the headland stretches out into the sea in a spine of different coloured rocks.
Strongpoint Plémont
Explore the newly restored headland at Plémont and discover a German Second World War Strongpoint. Strongpoint Plemont was a multi-leveled defence with stunning views of the other Channel Islands and Normandy. You will find remains of mortar, machine gun, anti-aircraft and searchlight bunkers. The site is on cliff paths, please take care.
Strongpoint Grève de Lecq
Grève de Lecq Bay was a German strongpoint during the Occupation. The German Forces deployed a lot of armaments and bunkers in the area. In the middle of the bay a Jersey Round Tower dominates the view, this Napoleonic era tower was also modified by the Germans to include a secure bunker at the base, and a roof-mounted machine gun.
Plémont Bay
This has to be one of Jersey’s most beautiful beaches. Plémont has a natural drama and enchanting beauty all of its own. A sandy cove on the north-west tip of the island with many rock pools, fascinating sea caves, and even a fresh water waterfall.
Devil’s Hole
Descend a winding path passing a sinister statue, to discover the Devil’s Hole; an impressive and strangely eerie blowhole that has been eroded into Jersey’s coastline over the millennia.
Grève de Lecq Beach
This sheltered north facing beach is fringed with wooded slopes and leafy country pubs. A firm favourite with families, with rocks to climb, pools to search for critters in, a sea that’s never too far out even at a low tide and lifeguards during the summer months, all make this beach a winner.
