This section on the Jersey Tidal Trail runs between Rozel Bay and Gorey Harbour, guiding you through peaceful countryside and along beautiful stretches of coastline, offering a charming blend of scenic views and traditional village character. With a mix of coastal paths, woodland trails and quiet roadways, the varied terrain adds a touch of challenge to this picturesque walk.
Bus route 7 runs from Liberation Station in St. Helier to St. John’s Church. It’s about 30 minutes’ walk from here to Sorel Point, the starting point.
Bus Route 3 runs from the end point at Rozel back to Liberation Station in St. Helier.

Seahorse Coffee Co. Limited
A small, funky, coffee shop at the bottom of the hill in Gorey Harbour. Serving great coffee & cake plus gifts by local artists.
The Rozel Pub & Dining
Traditional country pub, just a two minute stroll from the picturesque Rozel Bay and one of the busiest and best in Jersey. The home cooked traditional style food is superb, the local beer is cold and the service friendly and welcoming.
The Driftwood Café
Archirondel's pretty pebbly beach is home to this popular beach café with views of the Martello Tower and the sprawling French coast. Tucked away down a small road and opening onto Archirondel Beach on Jersey's east coast. This café is a true favourite for locals and visitors alike.
Pizza Quarter – Gorey
Pizza Quarter was globally inspired and home-grown in Jersey. We make our own dough fresh on a daily basis and proof it using the "Pizza Quarter 24-hour method" where it develops the dough's flavour and texture before we bake your perfect pizza.
Sumas Restaurant
A boutique restaurant located on the east of the island overlooking Mont Orgueil Castle and the picturesque harbour of Gorey. The Hungry Man

Uncover a trail of coastal treasures on this route, from incredible ancient dolmens to defense towers and the majestic Mont Orgueil Castle, one of the finest examples of a medieval fortress in existence, which has cast its imposing shadow over the beautiful fishing port of Gorey for more than 800 years.
St. Catherine’s Bay
St. Catherine's Breakwater and Bay are most popular with both novice and skilled sailors, canoeists and anglers, it is home to St. Catherine's Sailing Club and the Jersey Canoe Club. Originally planned as a harbour for the Royal Navy to counter the threat of a French invasion, the breakwater was started in 1847 but shallow water halted their plans.
Le Dolmen de Mont Ubé
Feel the history as you explore the main passage that leads into an oval chamber with four internal cells. The Neolithic passage grave dates back 6000 years, uncovered by stone quarriers in 1848, this passage grave contained various historical artefacts, such as burnt bone, fragments of decorated pottery, polished stone axes and stone pendants.
Gorey Harbour
Gorey Harbour is the perfect place for daydreamers and explorers alike. Tucked in the corner of the Royal Bay of Grouville and beneath the towering majesty of Mont Orgueil Castle, this picturesque village blends centuries of history with a laid-back coastal charm and walking routes aplenty. Life feels different out east—experience it for yourself!
St. Catherine’s Woods
Meander along wooded paths, and leafy enclaves as you explore this lovely circular route. St. Catherine’s Woods is the perfect place for kicking leaves, roaming through trees, splashing in streams and hopping across stepping stones. Jump on makeshift swings and run wild in the woods. Don’t forget your wellies for a muddy adventure.
St Catherine’s Bunker
St Catherine’s Bunker is a remarkable World War Two German fortification and tunnel complex that is a testament to the German forces' hold on the British Channel Islands during the Second World War. Strategically positioned, it formed a crucial part of the German northeastern defences, especially after the Allied invasion of France.
Mont Orgueil Castle
Mont Orgueil Castle, or Gorey Castle, has cast its imposing shadow over the beautiful fishing port of Gorey for more than 800 years. One of the finest examples of a medieval fortress in existence, Mont Orgueil is also a symbol of Jersey’s national identity and independent character.
Anne Port Bay
Anne Port’s east facing shingle beach reveals fine sand along most of the beach in mid or low tide and gentle shelving makes for good swimming. This delightful bay enjoys the morning and midday sun and is rarely crowded. A great spot for a morning dip, or if you’re simply looking for some peace and quiet.
Fliquet Bay
Located on the far north east of the island, Fliquet Bay is a beautifully scenic spot, where it’s possible to enjoy panoramic views across to France. Fliquet Bay has a mixture of pebbles, sand and rock and it is sheltered from westerly and south westerly winds. This is a bay where you can escape the everyday hustle and bustle and relax.
