vj-share-icon

In the winter Jersey comes into its own with wild weather and exhilarating beach walks to wrap up and enjoy. The island’s west coast is exposed to the full force of the Atlantic weather systems and makes the perfect spot to watch the wind and waves roll in with all their dramatic winter beauty. Just make sure you stay well away from the water’s edge - and at a safe distance. Here are a few of our favourite safe viewing spots:

It’s hard to beat the drama from this historic bird’s eye view spot. With its floor to ceiling 360 degree glass top floor overlooking Corbière Lighthouse and the island’s southwestern tip, the Radio Tower is probably the best vantage point for a Jersey storm watching stay. DRAMATIC VISTAS

Feel the elements

The most dramatic place to catch a stormy shot of the island? Definitely Corbière lighthouse on Jersey’s southwestern corner. Stay well away from the waves though and make a stop at Corbière Phare restaurant for a welcome escape as the weather gets wild - you might even see waves breaking over the island’s iconic 19th century lighthouse.
