Grève de Lecq Barracks is home to ArtHouse Jersey’s Headquarters. The charity exists to serve our Island community and international audiences by supporting artists from Jersey and across the world to create ambitious work.

ArtHouse Jersey moved to its current location at the historic Grève de Lecq Barracks in September 2019 in order to provide a cultural hub for the island, where artistic activity, creation and collaboration can thrive. A range of public performances and pop-up exhibitions take place at the Barracks throughout the year and the site contains two multipurpose studio spaces that can be booked for use by the public. Information about our upcoming events can be found below.

Jérôme Bel by Jérôme Bel
ArtHouse Jersey is delighted to present the English language premiere of “Jérôme Bel”, a new work by the seminal French choreographer Jérôme Bel, whose playful, visceral and conceptual dance works since the 1990s have shaped and had one of the most significant influences on contemporary dance in Europe over the past thirty years.

‘You, Me & The Sea’ Pop Up exhibition

Karl Murphy & Collaborators: I Extend My Arms
In this exhibition project developed from a residency in 2023 with ArtHouse Jersey, queer artists Karl Murphy, Lewis G Burton, Yasmine Akim, Dr. Adam Perchard, and Jack Killick draw inspiration from the work and lives of surrealist pioneers Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore who moved to Jersey in 1937 at a time of transformative global upheaval.
