BeachAbility is a charity providing specially designed manual, ballooned wheel chairs for use on the beach and other rough terrain. Available at various locations around the island; La Braye, St. Brelade, Gunsite, Bel Royal, West Park, La Mare and Long Beach Gorey.

Beachability provides access to the beach so that people can enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the beach and sea with family and friends. You will need a physically strong person to push the chair. The service is delivered through a combination of volunteers and, during peak periods, a seasonal worker who coordinates bookings, supports users where required, maintains equipment and ensures beach locations are safe and operational.
BeachAbility works in partnership with local organisations, including Healing Waves, care providers, hotels and other charities. As a charity, it encourages donations to continue to offer this free service to visitors and locals.
