Hamptonne Country Life Museum gives the visitor a unique insight into the rural life carried on in Jersey for centuries. Dating back to the 15th century the house and farm are perfect for discovering the rural history of Jersey.
Visit the Cider House or pressoir with its granite apple crusher and press and the Cider Apple Orchard, which consists of apple trees chosen for their sweet, bitter and sharp flavours to provide a good balance for cider making. Also on site is an apple themed playground and an area for picnics. Children under six go free.

Laurens Hamptonne
Take a step back in time to find out first-hand about Laurens Hamptonne's extraordinary life. In 1621, when he was just 21 years old, he was appointed Viscount of Jersey. After the English Civil War he was awarded special privileges by King Charles Sercon, before becoming a Jurat in 1651. Come and meet Laurens at Hamptonne on Tuesdays across 2023.
