Christmas Open Studios at The Merchant’s House
Join us for an extraordinary weekend as we open the doors to our ceramics studio and other art studios for a rare glimpse to see our artists in residence at work. You will have the opportunity to paint your own ceramic Christmas Decoration and we will be serving complimentary mince pies and mulled wine to help get you in the Christmas spirit.

The Merchants House is home to Jane James Ceramics and six other artists (Louise Ramsay, Hayley Dione, Rian Hotton, Heather Barette, PJ Thomson and Jane Fullerton). It also houses a large gift shop, coffee shop and gallery (current exhibition Believe in Magic by Kathy Rondel and Michele Snape). During the Christmas Open Studios we be opening our usual private areas to the public. Visitors can chat to the artists about their processes and inspirations. Work will also be on sale and it will be the perfect opportunity to purchase unique artwork for Christmas. Jane James will have a pop up paint your own ceramic Christmas decorations in her studio and we will be serving complimentary mulled wine and mince pies.
