A roaring welcome.

The island was raring to welcome The British & Irish Lions in June 2021. The squad spent two weeks getting match fit in the island break ahead of the main event in South Africa later in the year. The squad roared into the island break for a training camp at the brand new, state of the art Strive facility where they beasted it, sharpening their set piece, polishing their penalties and refining their rucking.

Jersey is perfectly positioned to welcome global sporting events where athletes can train, compete, and rebalance in a wild island retreat. With world class sporting facilities, breathtaking beaches and food that feeds the soul, any athlete, elite or mortal is spoilt for choice. And the best bit? Jersey is part of the UK’s Common Travel Area.

We felt like we’d scored a try that we were able to help the team get ready to roar on the tour.
