More Information
Known by their artist names of Claude Cahun and Marcel Moore, these two artists moved to Jersey from France in 1937 when they were both in their mid-40s. They were no doubt looking for a quiet life, but they could not know that 3 years later, the island would be under a Nazi occupation. This tour will pay tribute to their remarkable lives as we explore their work and their resistance activities, for which they were ultimately imprisoned, in 1944.
NOTE: This Tour will start from the St. Brelade's Bay Hotel. Meet in front of the entrance to the hotel for an 18:30 start and will last 1 hour.
