More Information
Our year is 2064, or 24 P.S. (Post-Singularity). A whole generation has grown up without any experience or even concept of things our parents and grandparents took for granted: Stamps, paper/metal money, beef -burgers, cigarettes, cemeteries, churches, private cars, shops with shop assistants... and 'democracy'. These things, so alien to us now, were commonplace and even valued in the BS Era (Before-the-Singularity).
This tour is an opportunity for you to learn what it was like living in the weird and not so wonderful early 2020s. Whilst the superstitious and widespread analogue nature of the period seems comical and baffling to us, it was nonetheless a very important time for would-be historians to consider. Indeed, the analogue resistance of the mid-late 20s was at one point so widespread and powerful, that it almost threatened the singularity and the future of the earth as we know it today.
The tour will last just 90 minutes, and it is not for the faint-hearted. We will finish with a drink at a 'pub' called the Peirson, the oldest of its kind, which in 2024 was still a functioning pub. You will even be able to pay for your drinks with paper money. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
