Get your weekend off to a splendid start by raising a glass to the Queen at La Mare Wine Estate, the most southerly vineyard in the British Isles. Don’t miss sampling their Royal Gin made using Jersey Royal potatoes. Rumour has it that the Queen enjoys the odd gin herself. We think she’d love this tipple. After a day of relaxed revelling, make your way to the beach to witness Jersey’s crown jewels sparkling at your feet. A guided bioluminescence walk with Jersey Walk Adventures takes you out at low tide in search of tiny creatures that glow like fireflies. It’s an enchanting experience to have stars above your head and twinkling at your feet.

Spend your second morning scaling the heights of Mont Orgueil Castle taking in views of France on the horizon. Tread in the footsteps of past royals including Queen Elizabeth II herself in 1957. The castle sits over idyllic Gorey Harbour where there are plenty of places to grab a bite before heading on to your next stop. After lunch, make your way to Jersey Zoo and wander a while, taking in this stunning 32-acre park with valleys and woodland, meeting some of the rarest animals in the world.

Did you know that the Queen likes to have the occasional flutter at the races? She certainly loves watching the horses thundering around the track. Head up to Les Landes racecourse on the north west coast of Jersey which is blessed with breathtaking views of Grosnez Castle, the ocean and neighbouring Channel Islands in the distance. There’s no better way to end a day at the races than with a luxury afternoon tea at The Atlantic Hotel where you’ll be spoilt with decadent treats while enjoying majestic views of St. Ouen’s Bay.

Fill your final day with delicacies of land and sea. Take a walk out at low tide with the Seymour Oyster team. Shuck your own oysters on the sea bed and sip champagne for a truly splendid experience. It’s time to make your way west, but why not do it in style with Classic Car Hire? Get behind the wheel of an iconic motor and cruise around the island. Stop by Woodlands Farm on your way to meet our Jersey cows. The Queen is quite the fan don’t you know?! Refresh with a quick dairy treat at the Potato Shack Café before rolling on westwards to take a seat at El Tico Beach Cantina. Dig into a pot of fresh local moules while watching the royal waves roll in as the sun sinks over the bay and over your regal weekend in Jersey.
