Remembering 80 years since D-Day
The 06 June 2024 marked the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the operation which laid the foundations for the Allied victory on the Western Front and the end of WW2. The Channel Islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied during the war, leaving lasting marks on Jersey’s landscapes. Jersey will celebrate 80 years of Liberation next year on 09 May 2025, nearly one year on from D-Day. For history lovers, the island is a not-to-be-missed destination, so why not celebrate the big anniversary? Come anytime and explore our place on Liberation Route Europe at your leisure.
